Frequently Asked Questions

Q? How Many Dogs Will You Walk At A Time?

A.

I only walk one household at a time.  We do absolutely no pack walking.  This allows us to give your dog(s) the most personalized attention possible.  They will never get lost in the shuffle and you will not have to worry about a disagreement among other dogs.

Q? What Areas Do We Service?

A.

We currently service Auburn, Bedford, Goffstown, Hooksett, Londonderry, Litchfield and Manchester, New Hampshire!  Occasionally we do get requests for service outside of our regular territory.  Just ask if you're too far and we'll let you know if we are available to help you out.

Q? Can I Trust Granite State Pet Sitting?

A.

Absolutely!  I am the sole operator of Granite state Pet sitting so you will always know who your pet sitter is.  For Extra assurance I am fully bonded and Insured and Registered with the Better Business Bureau.  I am even certified in Pet First Aid through the American Red Cross and Registered with many pet sitter associations.  I am also the Founder of Granite State Dog recovery which is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization that helps reunite lost dogs with their owners.

Q? Do You Walk & Pet Sit In Inclement Weather?

A.

Rain? Not a Problem!  Snow?  Not a Problem, In the event of a thunderstorm or when we feel it is unsafe to walk we will play indoors with your pets.  You’re Pets Depend on us when you are not there so we will be there for them no matter the weather.  There are no walks in extreme temperatures as we would not want your dog to burn his pads on the hot pavement.

Q? What If I Need To Cancel?

A.

For mid-day dog walks, as long as you contact us by 6pm the day before you will not be charged for a next-day dog walk. Any pet sitting service schedule adjustment must be received more than 72 hours from the first scheduled visit to avoid full payment. Pet sitting service cancelled within one week, and prior to 24 hours will receive a refund minus a $25 convenience fee. Pet sitting service cancelled with more than ten days’ notice will be refunded in full...

Q? Will My Dog Be Walked By The Same Person?

A.

As the Sole Operator of Granite State Pet Sitting your dog will always have me as your dog walker/pet sitter.

Our Services

  • Dog Sitting Dog Sitting

Dogs are pack animals by nature, and that means they need regular contact and interaction with other members of their human “pack” to be happy and thrive. When you’re away, whether for business or pleasure, our experienced pet sitters can fill in for you, providing your dog with the regular care and contact they crave.

  • Cat Sitting Cat Sitting

Cats are smart, loving animals, and even though they may seem aloof or independent to the untrained eye, as any cat owner knows, cats are full of unique personality traits including a strong preference for regular routines. When you need to be away from home for an extended period, whether for professional or personal reasons, putting your cat in a kennel can cause it to become stressed and may even cause illness.

  • Small Animal Sitting Small Animal Sitting

Who knew so much love and sweetness could fit in such a tiny, furry package? If you own a pet like a rabbit, sugar glider, hamster, guinea pig or other small animal, you know how loveable and special these pets can be – and so do we. When you need to leave your home, whether for a long business trip or vacation or just a quick “getaway” weekend, we can provide all the care your small pet needs.

  • Bird Sitting Bird Sitting

Just like your furry pets, feathered loved ones develop strong attachments to the humans who care for them. Their happiness, health and well-being are based on a strong sense of routine and habit, and disrupting that routine can cause stress that in turn can cause molting, eating disorders and health issues. In flocks, disruptions in regular routines can also cause negative behaviors like pecking and can cause egg production to fluctuate or even cease.
